2nd Place Finish in Race of Champions at INEX Nationals
The INEX Legends car Nationals were held at Lanier National speedway this weekend. A weekend filled with racing included the race of champions which pitted INEX state champions against each other in a twenty lap shootout. Starting positions were established by a blind draw in which the #25 would find itself near the back of the 15 car field. Jeff would work his through the field to a second place finish but could not track down the pole sitter and eventual race winner.

Round 10 was not a race it was a game of survival
With a slim points lead entering the 10th and final round of the series, Jeff would find himself just trying to survive and finish the race as his close competitors tried to derail him.(literally) Jeff would battle adversity throughout the day. The day started with the #25 drawing the last starting position for a heat race that would be contended in the rain. Unable to see out of the front windshield of his car due to the rain and his window completely fogged, Jeff would have to pit during the first caution to borrow a towel from the pit lane security guard. Jeff would finish the race driving with one hand and wiping the windshield with the other!
During the feature event Jeff was involved in a lap 4 caution that would badly damage his car and force him to the pits for repairs luckily under caution without losing a lap. After restarting at the back of the field, Jeff would benefit from a tangle in turn 1 that he drove underneath and avoided. This would move Jeff back into the top 5 directly behind his closest points competitor. Jeff would remain there until the final lap when there was a tangle involving Jeff's closest points competitor. Jeff would pass the incident untouched and was on his way to a top 5 finish until he reached turn 4. That is when an apparent bonzai move to ruin Jeff's championship hopes saw Jeff driven hard into the outside wall. The incident would result in Jeff's compettion being black flagged for intentionally wrecking and wreckless driving. Determined to finish Jeff would restart his car and cross the finish line on three wheels with no brakes. Jeff finished the 16th annual Summer Shootout as the Champion by 39 points. He scored three victories, 6 top 5's with no DNF's and never finished worst than eighth.

Long day at Orange County
After qualifying 15th for the 150 lap Southern Sizzler, Jeff would ride in the top 15 for most of the race. On lap 119 of the 150 lap event, Jeff lost control of his car entering turn one and received heavy damage to the #25. Unable to continue, Jeff would finish 15th with a dissapointing end to just his second Super Late model event.

Late Race caution costs Jeff a top 5
Due once again to a bad pre-race draw Jeff would be forced to start at the rear of his heat race. Starting 9th in his heat, Jeff would finish 3rd in the 8 lap heat race. He started 4th in the 20 lap feature and remained in the top 5 for the majority of the race until a late race caution that dumped oil at the exit of turn 4 to the start finish line. On the restart with 3 laps remaining Jeff would get hung on the outside slipping and sliding through the rough track conditions finishing 7th at the end of the night. The 10th and final round of The Summer Shootout is Tuesday night. Jeff finds himself with a slim lead in the points standings and is looking forward to Championship night.

Top 5 at Bowman Gray Stadium
Under threatning skies at historic Bowman Gray stadium near Winston-Salem, NC, Jeff Bolen was able to score a second place division finish and 5th overall after starting 24th in the 28 car field. The poor start came after a random draw for starting position. The 5th place finish in this 20 lap event marks Jeff's 14th top 5 in 16 starts.

A Soaking Wet 4th Place finish in Round 8
What more could you ask for? A poor starting position, an ill handling race car, and poor visibility. Oh yeah, did we mention rain? Jeff scored another rain dampened top 5 in Week 8 of the 16th annual Summer Shootout Series extending his points lead in the 10 week series. "We are very fortunate and thankful to have survived the rain with a 4th place finish and the car is still in one piece," said Jeff. The Bolen Motorsports team will travel to Bowman Gray Stadium this friday for his first appearance at the famed 1/4 track.

Bolen Motorsports back in victory lane Week 7
Week seven of the Summer Shootout Series held at Lowes Motor Speedway would bring a much needed victory and allow Jeff to score his 3rd victory of the series. After starting towards the rear of his qualifying heat race, Jeff was involved in a spin on the first lap of the event but was able to recover with a 3rd place finish. The top six positions are handicapped by points and since Jeff is the current points leader, his best starting position would be 6th for the feature. Jeff would have to avoid an early race incident narrowly missing two cars that made contact. After a single file restart with the #25 in 4th place, Jeff began to work his way to the front. During the event some water made its way onto the racing surface in turns 3 and 4 making for slippery conditions. A simple adjustment in driving line would allow Jeff to take the lead and avoid the slippery track conditions on his way to his 3rd victory of the 2009 series and 7th of the year overall.

Back To Back Top 5's
Round 6 of the 16th annual Summer Shootout series was much more of the same. A start at the rear of the heat brought a 6th place finish which translated to a 13th place start in the Feature. Battling through numerous wrecks and cautions as is the norm at The Summer shootout, Jeff was able to make his way to a 4th place finish at the end of the night. There are 4 races left in the 10 week series continuing every Tuesday night through August 11th.

Top 5 in Round 5 at the Shootout
It was a full moon double points night at Lowes Motorspeedway on Tuesday night and there was a full field of drivers ready and willing to tear up some cars. After garnering a 2nd place finish in his heat, Jeff would start 4th in the Feature event. Jeff was taken out early in the event and sent sliding through the grass in turn 3. Jeff would make his way through the field towards the front several times with the same result each time which was being involved in or having to avoid the numerous cautions that filled the night. When the smoke cleared, Jeff had made is way to fifth place. The inability to get a good clean green flag run would spoil any chances of the # 25 making it to the front.

12th at Greenville Pickens in Late Model debut
Friday afternoon was the first time Jeff would take a lap in a full fendered stock car and race that same car just hours later. The lack of testing was not by design, but was the result of a few issues that delayed finishing the car. The #25 Simmons and White machine would take qualifying time 9th in line qualifying 26th out of 29 cars. "The car did not act as well in qualifying as it did in practice and I think I may have needed to scrub the tires in a little more.... I may have picked up some debris." said Jeff. A few other issues plagued the Bolen Motorsports #25 throughout the night including the loss of the clutch and a malfunctioning shifter that wold limit Jeff to only Low gear which made for an interesting night on the numerous restarts. Even with this being Jeff's first start and with the issues that continued throughout the night, Jeff was able to finish the full distance on the lead lap in 12th place. Jeff made his way to the eighth position late in the race only to see a few of those positions fade as Jeff was forced to avoid a late rece spur of cautions. On the final caution of the night with just 2 laps remaining, Jeff was collected in a wreck in turn 1 that would put him at the end of the lead lap cars for the green white checkered finish. Jeff was able to gain some valuable seat time and come away with a top 15 finish in just his first start. Due to the mechanical issues, Jeff's double header weekend which originally included racing at Hickory will be cut short and his next Super Late Model race will be announced soon. First or Eighth
Tueday nigth saw Jeff start in the 8th position of the Feature event. After working his way up to second position, he would ride for a good majority of the race until a late caution. With a green-white-checker finish and slick condition in turns 1 and 2, Jeff was spun from behind. Jeff had a good top 5 finish within his grasp but unfortunately was spun by a fellow competitor. Jeff has 2 wins and two eigth place finishes in the first 4 events at the Summer shootout series.

Lexington, SC (June 24, 2009)- This July 4th weekend will be much the same for Bolen Motorsports and Jeff Bolen. That is, they will be racing! Jeff Bolen is set to debut his #25 Super Late model at Greenville/Pickens Speedway with the Pro All Star Series in the Firecracker 125. This will be Jeff’s first event in a full bodied stock car followed up just two days later with the Independence 150 held at Hickory Motor Speedway. “All the pieces have come together quickly to make this a reality,” said Jeff. It was announced tonight live on Legendsnation radio that Jeff indeed has filed entries for both the Firecracker 125 at Greenville/Pickens Speedway and the race at Hickory. Jeff has seen some early season success in the Legends ranks with 10 Starts, Seven wins, and two second place finishes including two victories in the first three weeks at Lowes Motor Speedway during the 16th Annual Summer Shootout. “We have aligned ourselves with the some great folks in both the Legends cars and late model world and these alliances have begun to pay dividends,” said Jeff. We hope to carry this early season momentum into the late model ranks.” There is no doubt that Jeff and the Bolen Motorsports team will be up against a huge learning curve and they are looking forward to the challenge.

After a dissapointing run in a battle with mother nature in week 2 at
the Summer Shootout, the #25 returned to the winners circle on Tuesday night for round 3. Jeff finished 2nd in his qualifying heat which earned him a 4th place start in the feature. After dropping back to the 5th position on the original start Jeff began to work his way towards the front. While running fourth the first caution flag waved which would allow for the first choose situation for the field. The top 3 held their inside position while Jeff chose the outside pole for the restart. Jeff quickly fell in line in second place and would stay their for one more caution. After the next restart, the #25 would make its way to the front of the field and never looked back leading the remainder of the event. The victory was Jeff's 7th of the year and 2nd victory at the Summer Shootout in just 3 weeks.

Round 2 at Shootout brings 8th place finish
Rain was the theme for both the heat race and feature in week 2. Jeff was able to make his way to the front of the pack for a heat race win. After making the decision to run rain tires for the feature the rain ceased and the track began to dry out which left Jeff with a ill hanling race car. Jeff currently sits in 2nd place in the point standing going into week 3. We hope to see you there!

Concord Victory makes it 3 In A ROW
Race included 5 of Top 10 in National Points
In Jeff's first start since winning 2 consecutive races at Lowes Motor Speedway, he returned to Concord Speedway for a little Sunday afternoon fun. The day began with a great draw and a spot on the pole for the 8 lap heat race. The #25 jumped to the lead and would stay there until the checkers fell earning another Pole position for the 25 lap feature. On both the initial start and subsequent restarts, Jeff's rear bumper was a point of interest as his fellow competitors knew that in order to get past the front running Bolen Motorsports machine they would need to get to Jeff quickly. Jeff had other ideas as he slowly built a 10 car lead and would stay there for the remainder of the event earning his 5th victory in just 7 starts. The field had 5 0f the top 10 drivers in National points including the current #1 and #2 drivers. The #25 has not finished out of the top 2 this season and is looking forward to the 16th Annual Summer Shootout which begins on June 9th at Lowes Motor Speedway. The team will travel to Anderson Motor Speedway this Friday for a regional qualifier for the upcoming Legends Car nationals to be held later this year at Lanier National Speedway. Bolen Motorsports is actively seeking marketing partners for upcoming events including the Summer Shootout. Victory at Lowes Motor Speedway
After starting 3rd in Monday nights feature event at Lowes Motor Speedway on the 1/4 mile track, Jeff quickly made his way to the lead pacing the field for most of the event. With two laps to go, the #25 was hit from behind causing Jeff to wash up the track and allowing fellow competitor, Dennis Kisier, dive underneath with 1 lap to go. On the white flag lap, Jeff was able to return the favor and score his 3rd victory of 2009 and first at Lowes Motor Speedway. Lowes is the site of the upcoming 16th annual Summer Shootout series. Another Strong Finish for Jeff @ Lowes Motor Speedway
After starting fourth Monday night, the #25 made its way through the pack to take the lead. After leading several laps, Jeff was shuffled back to third. He quickly made his way back to second and came up just short of the victory when the checkers flew.
The #25 Returned to Victory lane on Friday night-
Jeff picked up his second victory of 2009 at Concord Speedway leading flag to flag in both the heat and feature event. At least it seemed that way until the #25 was disqualified in post tech due to ride height issue on the left front of the car. "We had to stand on the running board as the car crossed the scales for weight and when we shook the car to settle the suspension we were DQed." said Jeff.

2009 Starts with a 2nd place, a trip to Victory Lane, and a Hard Charger Award
After not seeing action on Asphalt since the end of the 2008 season in early November, Jeff racked up two top two finishes including a win at Concord Speedway on the 1/4 mile this past weekend. On Friday night, the victory was within reach until a late race caution which Jeff was involved in relegated the #25 to a 4th place restart and do to another caution on the Green-White-Checkered restart, Jeff was only able to make it a second place finish. Sunday brought very similar circumstances as Jeff started shotgun on the field for the 25 lap feature event. He quickly maneuvered himself into the third position where he would run for the majority of the race until a late race caution. When the caution flew for contact between the top two, Jeff found himself in the lead for a green-white-checkered finish. On the restart, two cars jumped the restart which caused a three wide enty and exit of turns one and two and a pretty nice wreck as you can imagine. Once the smoke cleared and the caution flag flew, Bolen Motorsports picked up their first victory of 2009 and a hard charger award having started in last place and picking up the win. We look forward to an exciting season in the Legends ranks and hope that the first two races are a sign of what is to come!
